Job Description

As a Journeyman Pipefitter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support an industrial food-grade facility in Dover, DE. In this temporary role, you'll earn $35 an hour, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. 

• Hours: 6x10s
• Completing industrial refrigeration pipefitting
• Working with materials such as carbon and steel
• Selecting type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications
• Inspecting worksite to determine presence of obstructions
• Planning sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
• Cutting pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine.
• Threading pipe using threading machine
• Bending pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine
• Mounting pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meter, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping
• Testing piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks
• Welding pipe supports to structural steel members

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Be at least 18+ years of age
• Required OSHA-10 Construction Certification
• 6+ years of industrial refrigeration pipefitting experience required
• Experience with carbon and steel required
• Own tools and ability to bring them to work with you each day
• Ability to read and interrupt blueprints
• Ability to work 6 days a week, 10 hour days
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prior experience in the industrial field required
• Position requires a drug screen and background check
