  1. Maintenance and Repair :
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions in equipment such as pumps, compressors, and HVAC systems.
  • Replace faulty components and ensure machinery operates efficiently.
  1. Diagnostics and Testing :
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on mechanical systems to identify issues.
  • Use tools like schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting.
  1. Installation and Optimization :
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment.
  • Optimize mechanical efficiency by adjusting settings and configurations.
  1. Safety Compliance :
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations during maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all work environments are clean and safe.
  1. Documentation :
  • Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and maintenance schedules using software like SAP or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  1. Collaboration :
  • Work closely with engineers, operators, and other technicians to ensure production goals are met.
  • Train co-workers on the proper use of machinery.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.
  • Ability to read technical documents like blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Educational Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field (preferred).
  • Certifications such as OSHA 10 or specialized training in mechanical systems are advantageous.
