Job Overview

This position involves being active in two key areas of our business: driving our overnight delivery route, and participating in doughnut production as a baker.
Our delivery route runs nightly, in the very late hours of the night when most other people are asleep. This ensures minimal traffic and more reliable deliveries. This position will use our fleet vehicle to run this route on Saturday and Sunday nights, when our full-time driver is off.
Baking and doughnut production is multi-faceted and we build these hours into the schedule to supplement the hours from delivering.
Responsibilities (Delivery Route) :

• Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts
• Neatly load truck with doughnuts which are already packaged and staged by our evening crew
• Safely operate** **vehicle to deliver to all customers on the route according to provided load sheet and manifest
• Note any discrepancies or issues while on the route
• Maintain fleet vehicle cleanliness and note any issues, warning lights, or accidental damage
• Safely unload trays and miscellaneous items from vehicle upon completion

Responsibilities (Baking) :

• General basics of baking including scaling, mixing, portioning, frying, and decorating
• Lifting items up to 75 lbs
• Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the state of our kitchen in coordination with your coworkers
• Completing all assigned prep and/or miscellaneous projects
• Learning and understanding our processes and work flow

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Some route driving and/or baking experience is a plus
• Must be able to stand on your feet for full production shifts (up to 10 hrs)
• Must be able to step in and out of a delivery van (sprinter-style) numerous times during route-driving
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management
• Must be trustworthy to represent our company with dignity and respect while out on the streets running delivery route
• Must be trustworthy to complete delivery route with no manager or supervisor riding along with you (except during training)
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs from floor to shoulder height
• Must be able to bend, reach, lift, turn, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform any other basic movement generally required to work in a fast-paced, sometimes tightly-spaced kitchen environment
• Must have weekend availability
• Must know basic measurements such as lbs, oz, kg, g, etc.
