One of our clients is looking for a payroll administrator for a contract opportunity.
+ Process end-to-end payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple pay cycles (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.).
+ Maintain and update payroll records for new hires, terminations, and employee changes such as promotions, wage adjustments, and benefit elections.
+ Calculate and process overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and garnishments.
+ Audit payroll data for errors and inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
+ Manage payroll tax filings and ensure timely submission of tax payments and reports.
+ Collaborate with the HR and Accounting teams to ensure alignment on employee compensation, benefits, and reconciliations.
+ Provide payroll reports and answer employee inquiries about pay, taxes, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
+ Assist in improving the payroll process, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring best practices are followed.
Requirements
+ 2-4 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar payroll position.
+ Proficiency in payroll software systems such as ADP, UltiPro, Workday, or similar platforms.
+ Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing and compliance requirements.
+ Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and deductions, including FLSA, ACA, and IRS guidelines.
+ Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and excellent attention to detail.
+ Ability to work under deadlines and manage confidential information with discretion.
Preferred but not Required:
+ CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification.
+ Experience with union payroll and collective bargaining agreements.
