Position Overview
The Senior Analyst / Associate will support the Associate Director of Finance, Vice President of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to corporate finance, investor relations, and strategic initiatives within a leading publicly traded REIT.
The position is based at Pebblebrook Hotel Trust’s headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio analyses to evaluate the Company’s performance across various financial and operational metrics.
· Assist in preparing and distributing quarterly financial information, earnings releases, and corporate strategy updates for investors and analysts.
· Oversee market data research (e.g., Smith Travel Research reports) and analyze key trends at both corporate and market levels.
· Perform financial and strategic analyses, including peer benchmarking and macroeconomic trend assessments.
· Develop and coordinate investor presentations and strategic materials for the Board of Trustees.
· Manage investor relations activities, including drafting press releases, maintaining the company website, creating investor presentations, and responding to investor inquiries.
· Conduct due diligence and support debt and equity financing transactions involving institutional investors, lenders, and investment banks.
· Collaborate with the Company’s Asset Management, Investments, and Accounting teams on various analyses, presentations, and data reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· 1 to 3 years of experience in finance, hospitality, real estate, or a related industry preferred.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver with the ability to analyze and transform complex data into actionable insights.
· Self-motivated team player who can also work independently.
Skills & Competencies
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial modeling, data visualization, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
· Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and balance recurring tasks with ad hoc projects.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders, including senior executives.
· Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint to clearly present financial and operational information.
· Familiarity with corporate financial statements and hotel industry metrics (e.g., RevPAR, ADR) preferred.
· Experience in investor relations and/or public company reporting is a plus.
